The hike to Crystal Lakes is a fantastic Summit County adventure. The trail is a steep and demanding climb up an old mining road, passing interesting historic ruins along the way. Your hard work is rewarded when you reach the two pristine alpine lakes, nestled in a spectacular cirque below the rugged Crystal Peak and Father Dyer Peak. It's a tough but incredibly scenic and rewarding high-altitude hike.
