For a unique hike that goes down before it goes up, check out Coulson Gulch. The trail starts high and drops into a lovely, shaded canyon with a beautiful creek at the bottom. It’s a fantastic place to cool off on a hot summer day. The climb back out is challenging, making for a great workout. This less-crowded trail offers wonderful scenery and a peaceful escape into the foothills.
