A short but steep hike to a fantastic summit that offers huge, 360-degree panoramic views for relatively little effort.
Chief Mountain is a local's secret for getting one of the best "bang-for-your-buck" views on the Front Range. The trail is only 1.5 miles one-way, but it's a very steep climb. The effort is paid back tenfold at the summit, where you are greeted with a stunning, unobstructed 360-degree panorama of the Continental Divide, Mount Evans, and the plains. An amazing and highly rewarding short hike.
